Colin Mahony
Colin P. Mahony is the President of Recorded Future, a Mastercard subsidiary since its acquisition in December 2024. He joined the company in 2023 to drive its growth as a global leader in Threat Intelligence solutions. With over two decades in analytics and data intelligence, Colin has led customer-focused teams in startups and large enterprises, helping build and manage data infrastructure for some of the world’s largest cybersecurity solutions.
Before Recorded Future, Colin was General Manager at Amazon Web Services, overseeing Aurora/RDS and Redshift, two of the largest data infrastructure services. He led teams that advanced AI/ML capabilities while enhancing performance, security, and scalability. Prior to AWS, he played a pivotal role at Vertica, helping develop its cutting-edge analytics platform and guiding its growth through multiple acquisitions, from HP to Micro Focus.
Colin’s career began in venture capital at Bessemer Venture Partners and Lazard Technology Partners, investing in enterprise software and digital media. He also served as a Senior Analyst at the Yankee Group, specializing in databases and enterprise technology.
Colin holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a degree in Economics with a Computer Science minor from Georgetown University. He is actively involved in nonprofit work, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Year Up Boston, and the Joey Fund for Cystic Fibrosis.
