Kat Duffy
Kat Duffy is a senior fellow for digital and cyberspace policy at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). She brings over two decades of expertise in emerging technology, democracy, corporate responsibility, and human rights. Her career spans leadership roles at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, the U.S. Department of State, the United Nations, and a range of global and local nonprofit organizations. Duffy has been instrumental in implementing significant foreign assistance and philanthropy initiatives focused on digital rights and technology platform accountability. She has also pioneered public-private partnerships connecting high-risk civil society actors with cybersecurity firms. Duffy has served on the boards of influential organizations including the Global Network Initiative and Atlas Corps, and has been recognized as an expert advisor by the World Economic Forum. She holds a law degree from the University of Michigan and a BA from Yale University.
