Drue Kataoka is a sought after voice on the creative possibilities of AI and machine intelligence.
A globally renowned artist, technologist, and CEO of her eponymous studio in Silicon Valley, she has guided Drue Kataoka Art Studios to serve clients in over 30 countries on five continents—and even launched two artworks into space.

Drue is an accomplished global speaker, having delivered keynote addresses at numerous prestigious international events including World Economic Forum Annual Meetings in Davos, as well as in Geneva, Tokyo, Beijing, Buenos Aires, Myanmar, Puerto Vallarta, Dalian, and Tianjin. Plus keynotes at the Milken Institute’s Global Conference in Beverly Hills and Asia Summit in Singapore, the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi’s Qudwa Summit, a private summit on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands for Sir Richard Branson, and the FutureTalks Arctic Expedition at the North Pole.

She is a pioneer in technology art harnessing artificial intelligence, virtual reality, EEG, NFTs, and art-science collaborations. Prominent works include her collaboration with Industrial Light & Magic Immersive entitled Will Your Heart Pass the Test? (auctioned by Phillips, her time dilation artwork Up!, featured in the first zero gravity art exhibit at the International Space Station, her Ambrosia series inspired by neural networks, and her Celestial Lace mirror-polished stainless steel sculptures.

A 2025 Innovator Award recipient from the National Council of Women in GenAI, Drue is also a World Economic Forum Cultural Leader, Young Global Leader, and winner of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research & Education Institute Award for her extensive community service. She serves on the WEF Steering Committee for VR/AR/AI in the Creative Economy and the Advisory Board of Space for Humanity. Her impact has been featured in CNN, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, Le Monde, CNBC, Forbes, Wired, Harvard Business Review, and many more.

Beyond her artistic and technological achievements, Drue is dedicated to fostering future talent through the Rotary Drue Kataoka Art Scholarship, which has supported 24 recipients to date. A Stanford University graduate, she has also completed executive education programs in Global Leadership & Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and Leadership Foundations at Yale University.
