Joey Concepcion III
Joey Concepcion is considered as the Godfather of Entrepreneurship in the Philippines, a title that reflects his unwavering commitment to uplifting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and empowering ordinary Filipinos through entrepreneurship. As Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Philippines and incoming Chair of ASEAN-BAC for 2026, he continues to champion inclusive prosperity and regional cooperation. This marks his second chairmanship, having first led ASEAN-BAC during the Philippines’ ASEAN chairship in 2017, where he introduced the ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN)—the region’s first legacy mentorship program for MSMEs.
For 20 years, Joey has led the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship – Go Negosyo, an advocacy movement that has transformed the landscape of Philippine entrepreneurship. Through mentorship, access to markets, and access to capital, Go Negosyo has inspired millions of Filipinos to pursue enterprise as a pathway to prosperity and nation-building.
Appointed Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship under three Philippine administrations, Joey has been instrumental in mobilizing the private sector to drive inclusive economic growth. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he spearheaded the Project ARK mass testing initiative and A Dose of Hope, the world’s first tripartite vaccine procurement partnership. He also launched the Kapatid Angat Lahat sa Agri Program, now expanded regionally as the ASEAN Food Security Alliance, to promote inclusive, sustainable, and resilient agriculture.
As Chairman, President, and CEO of RFM Corporation, Joey combines business leadership with social advocacy. His contributions to entrepreneurship and nation-building have been recognized globally, including the Padma Shri Award from the Republic of India, TIME’s Global 100 List of Young Leaders, and Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy.
