Over the last 75 years, more than one billion people have been lifted out of extreme poverty, and a global middle class has emerged. Yet, deepening wealth and information inequality pose threats to the long-term stability and security of nations and societies. Achieving inclusive growth will require a reimagining of existing institutions and systems and the creation of entirely new fields such as “technology for purpose” and “data science for good.” What does it mean to grow inclusively? How can we build new models of economic development that improve opportunities for more people and at scale?
