Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza
An iconic multi-hyphenate with an illustrious career in the entertainment sphere worldwide, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza is listed as one of Malaysia’s richest, most influential artistes.
Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza is a musical powerhouse who paved her way into the local entertainment industry at just 16 years old, having debuted in 1995 with her first award-winning single, Jerat Percintaani, after winning a local competition show Bintang HMI that very same year. Arguably one of the most celebrated artistes across the Malay Archipelago as well as the Nusantara region, the singer-songwriter has under her belt over 300 awards, both local and international, and was even crowned as the number one most-streamed local artiste of 2020 on Spotify.
A prolific performer, Dato’ Sri Siti has performed in monumental events, such as the closing ceremony of the 1998 Commonwealth Games. In 2005, she became the very first Southeast Asian singer to have ever perform a solo concert at the Royal Albert Hall London.
Not one to rest on her own laurels, the artiste proved an enterprising business owner when she launched her eponymous company, Siti Nurhaliza Productions, in 1998. Twelve years later, she created SimplySiti, a local cosmetics company at the forefront of Malaysia’s halal beauty scene, which won the award for best halal product by The Halal Journal in 2010.
