Dr. Anuradha (Anu) Rao

Dr, Anuradha (Anu) Rao is an academic-entrepreneur, a netizen, and a parent. She founded CyberCognizanz to spread greater awareness about the opportunities and dangers of new technologies to individuals and to corporations. She educates by combining cybersecurity knowledge with a pragmatic and practically applied approach. She is passionate about spreading broad-based education to those leveraging the internet for work, networking, romance, and education, and to make the internet a safer, happier and more empowering space.

Her unique skill set comes from the combination of communications, new media, political science, and cybersecurity knowledge. She works on varied topics related to cybersafety and cybersecurity awareness, such as cybercrime and cyber-hygiene, as well as cyber-wellness, cyber-parenting, and cyber-ethics. Dr. Rao has a Ph.D. in Communications and New Media from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and a M.A. in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), in India.
