Julius Tennon
Julius Tennon is an accomplished film, television, and theatre producer and actor with over thirty years of experience. A native of Austin, Texas, he began as both a thespian and star linebacker at the University of Tulsa, where he became the first African American to graduate from the theatre department. His notable screen credits include Air, Batman v. Superman, Get On Up, Fame, Friday Night Lights, and Dazed and Confused, and popular television shows such as Criminal Minds and Lonesome Dove.
In 1999, Julius was blessed to meet the love of his life, Viola Davis, on the set of the CBS series City of Angels. Julius and Viola have shared both the stage and screen in projects such as How to Get Away with Murder, and together, they founded JuVee Productions, where they have produced acclaimed films and TV shows including The Woman King, Silver Dollar Road, The First Lady, Lila & Eve and most recently Amazon Studios G20 which releases in April 2025. Through their production company banner, they also produce theater and VR with a focus on creating diverse, impactful stories for a global audience.
