Dr. Hajar El Haddaoui

Dr. Hajar El Haddaoui is the Director General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) and has been with the Tech-Diplomacy for over 20 years. Furthermore, Hajar is also a leader with global experience spanning multinational organizations and public sector entities across and works with companies as well as stakeholders on regulatory and political issues related to emerging technologies, policies, international cooperation, and strategic dialogue. A proven Executive with global experience, Dr. Hajar El Haddaoui sits in multiple boards and is a guest lecturer at the American University of Applied Sciences, Geneva University and Princess Noura University.

Prior to being appointed as DCO Director General, El Haddaoui has held global and regional key roles focused on Corporate Strategy, Transformation, Change and Innovation with multinational organizations and public sector entities as Bell Canada, United Nations, Swisscom and NTT DATA Holding.

Holding an MBA degree from IMD Business School with bachelor’s degree in law from University of Montreal and ICT Management from Fribourg University; Hajar focuses on balancing both the business and human perspective in all her works. Hajar’s passion for inclusive leadership and advocacy for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) shines through her various roles, including her membership in MOD-ELLE’s advisory board and the assembly of delegates of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce.

Additionally, she’s a leader of L’effet A, a platform dedicated to fostering inclusive leadership practices. Hajar has had the privilege to live and work in Europe, Canada and the Middle East. Hajar El Haddaoui is considered a global ambassador for digitalization, being a renowned thought leader advocating the humanization of technology to create a better smart future. She is among the world’s most powerful women leaders in business and technology. Also, she has been awarded the Business leader for best all-round female In IT in Europe, Global Influencer leader award and the most Visionary women leader in Digital and transformation. She is a dynamic and influential speaker and presents regularly at corporate, United Nations and international conferences.
