Refugees: A New Mindset
Almost 120 million people will have been forcibly displaced or made stateless by the end of this year according to the UNHCR. This represents not only a vast humanitarian tragedy but also a massive loss of productivity and purpose for people and communities.
But it also creates a remarkable opportunity for action and support to reconnect refugees to jobs and economies to rebuild new lives for themselves and their families.
Hamdi Ulukaya, CEO of Chobani is a business leader who has probably done more than any other to mobilize the private sector to support and reintegrate refugees. He has consistently demonstrated that profitability and humanity can go hand in hand. Joining him in conversation is Gideon Maltz, the CEO of Tent Partnership for Refugees, a nonprofit founded by Ulukaya that mobilizes businesses to improve refugee lives and livelihoods, with members ranging from Amazon to Pfizer.
